OVERVIEW
COMRAD TACTIC HIGHLIGHTS
- The COMRAD TACTIC Operational Tactical Communications system is a full-featured set of tools for creating private wireless broadband access networks based on LTE (p-LTE) technology for tactical applications that require fast deployment scenarios.
- The COMRAD TACTIC solution organizes communication channels and data transmission between various operational groups in autonomous conditions without any need to have existing infrastructure.
- The COMRAD TACTIC is the most optimal solution due to its compact size, low power consumption, rapid deployment, and affordable price. An optimization of network traffic achieved due to the utilization of modern network technologies implemented in the modules of the p-LTE system.
- The COMRAD TACTIC ensures the functioning of the communication system in standalone mode.

Components for this solution
ENHANCED PACKED CORE

- Evolved Packet Core which implements MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, PCRF & Layer 2 Services and other basic functions of the LTE packet core;
- Control and monitoring system NMS, using a simple and intuitive web interface to configure and manage the network;
- Multy unit with synchronization functions supporting NTP and PTP protocols, MC-PTT Voice communication platform for individual and group communication within and between tactical groups, with the possibility of prioritizing voice traffic over other types of services ( the basic configuration supports 300 subscribers, 1 System administrator, 3 Dispatch consoles with ability to scale, all events are recorded on embedded server;
- Extended service router, supports the main set of dynamic routing and tunneling protocols (including VPN protocols), multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), Firewall, L3 services;
- UPS system with LiPol batteries 800 Vah, embedded POE switch to supply system components with interrupted -48 VDC.
The telecom equipment is located in special IP 65 Heavy Duty 19″ rack case with removable front and rear covers. The system is equipped with Laptop 17”, a Remote management terminal with pre-installed NMS client, PTT Administrator and PTT Dispatch console software. The Laptop is located in upper shelf of rack case for the convenience.
The empty spaces in the case are reserved for redundant modules and optional units, like radio gateway for professional radio systems connection and SIP gateway to provide connection to telephone networks.
RADIO ACCESS NETWORK

Radio Access Network consists of LTE standard base stations supplied with antennas and connection cables and provides a quick local coverage of 5-10 km.
To build a RAN, it is proposed to use a model of Tactic LTE BS Ruggedized all-outdoor, high-power LTE base station. Offering significant coverage with superior high power 4TX x 4RX radio technology (10 W per channel), this unit is ideal for fixed, high mobility, dense urban & mixed environments. The Tactic LTE BS is a Macro base station that supports 4×4 MIMO, carrier aggregation, Dual Sector/Dual Carrier provides coverage in standard 3GPP bands. The base Station is supplied with bracket for quick connection support.
The BS is also equipped with external GNSS antenna and ANT OMNI antenna, 11dBi, 4Ports, including mounting kits.
The base stations are connected by wireless e-band links or fiber optics to build desired network topology.
To connect Base Station with Enhanced packed core the Heavy Duty very flexible cable with quick connectors, supporting both DC and ETHERNET, 25 m is used.
